The Banning High School Performing Arts Builiding includes a 27,000-square-foot Performing Arts Center with a professional stage, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, screen room, 670-seat theater, classroom space, media and TV production facilities. The Career Tech building is a 12,000 square foot academy where students can learn skilled trades with the latest high-tech equipment and has more classrooms, work areas and an auto workshop.

IFE Role

IFE was retained by the Banning Unified School District to perform all DSA required testing and inspection during site earthwork and building construction. Some of our services included:
  • Observation and compaction testing during site earthwork, utility trench backfill and site paving
  • Laboratory soil testing for maximum density, expansion, classification, corrosion and R-Value
  • Reinforced concrete inspection and test cylinder fabrication
  • Concrete batch plant inspection
  • Structural steel welding inspection (shop and field)
  • High strength bolt, nut and washer testing (tensile strength and hardness)
  • Compressive strength of masonry block, prisms, mortar and grout
  • NDT ultra sonic and magnetic particle testing
