Palm Springs MDP Line 41 Stage 3
Project Summary
Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (2022 to Present)
The Palm Springs MDP Line 41, stage 3 project consists of the construction
of approximately 6,000 linear feet of underground reinforced concrete pipe
storm drain ranging in sizes from 18 to 108 inches and a six-acre detention
basin with 220,000 cubic yards of export. The storm drain line will require
the construction of numerous concrete structures, including manholes, drop
inlets, catch basins, junction structures, outlet structures, and retaining
walls. A portion of the line will be under the existing roadway, so removing
and replacing existing asphalt paving will also be required, along with any
necessary traffic control.
IFE Role
IFE was retained by the District to assist with construction
observation/documentation and compaction testing of trench backfill, subgrade,
base and asphalt concrete.
